When innovation meets diplomacy, opportunities arise that go beyond borders. On October 9, 2025, Smart Field Maintenance International (SFMI), a Tunisian consortium known for its extensive expertise in the energy sector, presented a strategic cooperation project to His Excellency Mr. Pierre NTSIET NGOLO, Ambassador of Gabon in Tunisia, alongside the diplomatic staff of the Embassy.
The meeting reflected a shared vision: to strengthen Gabon’s energy infrastructure through a partnership focused on the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity.
Gabon, a country rich in hydropower, gas, and solar potential, faces several structural challenges — aging networks, high technical losses, and dependence on diesel in remote regions.
The SFMI proposal seeks to modernize the national grid, enhance reliability, and pave the way for Gabon’s integration into the CEMAC regional energy interconnection plan.
As both parties exchanged ideas, the conversation highlighted a commitment not only to technological progress but also to sustainable development and regional energy resilience.
"Energy is the backbone of progress — and partnerships are the power lines that make it flow."

Empowering Africa’s Energy Future
This collaboration marks another milestone in SFMI’s mission to support African nations in developing modern, efficient, and sustainable energy systems.
By combining technical expertise with a spirit of cooperation, SFMI aims to transform challenges into growth opportunities — bringing light, power, and progress to communities across the continent.
